It has always amazed me that some folks look down at gambling , sure maybe they have had a relative or loved one out there that has lost some cash or even every thing they have owned irresponsibly, due to betting gambling or playing at casinos, but why should everyone suffer just because a few people get out of hand or become addicted.
Addictions are like anything else in life, we either control our compulsive behavior or lead ourselves to being totally out of control, I have seen people destroy their lives not only buy gambling but recently with bad investments in the stock markets, bad financial advice from their brokers which led them to invest money they either did not have or money they could not afford the risk, others have gone by the wayside with huge credit card debt.
You would think with tough financial times ahead that many countries would invite the revenue that come from betting or gambling in a regulated environment I guess at this time its not a matter of whats compulsive or not right now its a matter of creating jobs revenue and if it means that this comes from gambling so be it.
